>NOTD: Rimmel London Night Flight

>This might just be the star of the show. Night Flight is a dark, dark indigo creme. Actually it has a certain warmness, but it’s very dark and a bit desaturated, and that makes it look cool.

It reminds me of the color of ink. I think it’s a much darker and muted version of Dark Tyrian Purple. Unfortunately, I can’t always find dead-on color names on Wikipedia, but I try to stay true to the hue.
The formula was consistent. I used 3 coats for this manicure. Dried fast and glossy.

I’m not much into konading these days, so I used purple/green flowers from the Essence Glitter Mix wheel to bling it up a bit. I think it turned out nicely. This might be one of my favorite manicures of all time.

Bu oje, bu serinin starı olabilir bence. Night Flight, çok çok koyu bir mor. Aslında biraz sıcak tonlu sayılabilir ama çok koyu ve biraz da soluk olduğu için soğuk gibi görünüyor gözüme. Bana mürekkep rengini çağrıştırdı.
Formülü diğer Rimmel ojeler gibiydi. 3 kat sürdüm, çabuk ve ıslak görünümlü olarak kurudu.
Bu günlerde konad’la fazla aram yok, bu yüzden Essence marka pulların mor/yeşil çiçek şeklinde olanlarından kullandım. Bence güzel oldu. Bu, bugüne kadar yaptığım manikürler arasında en çok beğendiklerimden biri sanırım.

>Another Rimmel London polish made of awesome. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I’m so much into seasonal colors lately. And I don’t even believe in wearing season-coordinated polishes!

Trend Spotting is a vampy purple with strong red undertones. It can be described as a darker version of Tyrian Purple. It contains a very, very subtle tonal shimmer, which makes this polish interesting. The application was smooth as butter, no cleanup was needed. This is 3 coats, by the way.

I freaking love Rimmel polishes. I think one lucky follower will receive the complete set as a part of the giveaway price, when I reach 1000 followers =)

İşte harika bir Rimmel London ojesi daha. Bilmiyorum bana ne oluyor ama bu aralar sonbahar renklerine takmış durumdayım. Ki mevsimlere göre oje sürmek falan hiç adetim değildir =)
Trend Spotting, kırmızıya dönük, vamp bir mor. Ve aynı tonlarda, hafif bir sedef içeriyor fakat çoğu ışıkta krem yapıda gibi gözüküyor. Ayrıca bu ışıltının ojeyi benzerlerinden farklı kıldığını söyleyebilirim. Sürümü çok kolaydı, hiç temizlik gerektirmedi. Bu arada, bu sürdüğüm 3 kat.
Rimmel ojelerine bayılıyorum. Sanırım bir şanslı izleyici bu serinin tamamını ödül olarak kazanacak, üstelik ödülün hepsi bu kadar da değil. Ama 1000 izleyiciye ulaştığım zaman =)

>NOTD: Avon Green With Envy

>Today, I have Avon Green With Envy to show you.
Green With Envy is a very, very dark forest green. It looks almost black in dim light, but in daylight or under strong light, it’s definitely green. It reminds me of a blackboard.

The color can be described as Medium Jungle Green. The formula is great, opaque in two coats, dries quickly and very glossy.

I used teardrop shaped glitter from the Essence glitter mix to form a flower, and put a single gold glitter by Viva La Nails in the middle.

Essence glitter mix contains some beautiful stuff, I adore the peacock-like colors, I can’t wait to use them with my new polishes when I receive my haul =)

Bugün size Avon Green With Envy’i göstereceğim.
Green With Envy, çok koyu, maviye bakan bir yeşil. Loş ışıkta siyah gibi görünse de, gün ışığında ya da normal parlak ışık altında yeşil olduğu bariz belli oluyor. Renk olarak bana karatahta yeşilini anımsatıyor =)
Ojenin formülü harika, iki katta opak oluyor ve çabucak kuruyor. Aynı zamanda ıslak görünümlü.
Essence Glitter Mix setinin yeşil pullarını kullanarak bir çiçek yaptım ve ortasına da Viva La Nails’in gönderdiği altın rengi pullardan koydum.
Essence Glitter Mix’in içinde çok güzel mavi ve yeşil pullar var, tavuskuşu rengi gibi. Son ojelerim ve disklerim biran önce gelse, çok güzel planlarım var =)

>NOTD: Vampy Cherry

When I first applied OPI Black Cherry Chutney a few months ago, I thought it was more trouble than it was worth, so I left it in my drawer to collect dust. Today I felt the urge to put on something vampy, and when my eyes fell on the bottle, I decided to give it another chance.

Black Cherry Chutney is a dark reddish purple base with burgundy shimmer. Although it sounds adorable, the shimmer is only truly visible under strong light. I had trouble to capture the shimmer with my camera, so the pictures were sharpened a bit to make it more visible. The color is a very dark Dark Scarlett, maybe a tiny bit reddish. It’s opaque in two coats, and dries very fast.
The following pictures were taken with flash to show the shimmer, sorry for the harshness.

I added some konad using local brand silver polish and m13.
September has just arrived, and the weather has already dropped 5ºC. I guess fall is calling me, you might want to expect some darker colors in the following days =)
Oh, and my last haul can’t arrive soon enough, soo excited! =)

OPI’nin Black Cherry Chutney isimli ojesini birkaç ay önce ilk sürdüğümde, elde ettiğim sonuçla çektiğim zorluğu kıyaslayıp, “Eeeeh, değmez…” şeklinde bir karara varmıştım. O günden beri bu oje çekmecede tozlanarak çile dolduruyordu. Bugün içimden koyu renk bir oje sürmek geçince, gözüm bu şişeye takıldı. Ben de ona bir şans daha vermeye karar verdim.
Black Cherry Chutney, koyu bordo/mor arası, içinde koyu kırmızı ışıltılar olan bir oje. Kulağa muhteşem gelse de, ışıltılar pek belirgin değil. Kamerayla ışıltısını yakalamak kolay olmadı, ben de görünür olması için resimleri biraz keskinleştirdim. Oje iki katta opak oldu ve çok çabuk kurudu.
Resimlerin son iki tanesi flaşla çekildi, göz yoran resimler oldukları için özür diliyorum.
Son olarak Flor Mar #112 ile m13 diskindeki gül desenini uyguladım.
Sonbaharın ilk günüyle beraber hava sıcaklığı aniden 5 derece kadar düştü. Sanırım sonbahar renkleri beni çağırıyor, önümüzdeki günlerde benden koyu renkli ojeler bekleyebilirsiniz =) Ayrıca yeni ojelerimin gelmesini dört gözle bekliyorum!

>Review: NOX Twilight – Sangria

>My NOX Twilight review continues with Sangria.

Sangria was one of the shades I wasn’t expecting to be this good. In the bottle it looks like very dark, almost brown vampy red, very generic. But on the nails, it comes alive. I felt excited once it was on my nails. According to Wikipedia, this is what Sangria should look like, but this polish is definitely darker and less pink but more brown. The first coat was not brownish at all, it looked like delicious, ripe cherries. With the second coat it was this rich, dark, delicious color, nicely opaque and even. I know that most of the vampy polishes look somehow alike, therefore I always try to get interesting colors when I shop from the US and don’t pay for colors like vampies which I already can find here. (The only exception would be Zoya Casey, I guess. That polish looks phenomenal.) But this color is really something else. First of all, it’s so glossy. Most of the vampy polishes here dry a bit flat. The pictures below are without topcoat:

See? Gorgeous. I really enjoyed applying it. I love that it’s not too brown, and not too purple. It’s a perfect dark cherry red, or should I have said, dark blood red? =)
The drying time is average, and in the end, I suggest a good topcoat. Because although it’s glossy, it can dent like crazy if you don’t use a topcoat.
Other than that, I don’t really have anything to say about this polish. It’s a great vampy shade. Sadly I can’t compare this with other famous vampies, because of the reasons I mentioned above. But based on some pictures I found – like PHD also mentioned here – it resembles OPI Suzi Says Da.

NOX Twilight oje tanıtımım Sangria ile sürüyor.
Sangria, bu kadar güzel olmasını beklemediğim renklerden biriydi. Şişenin içinde çok koyu, kahverengiye yakın bir kırmızı gibi duruyor, yani klasik bordo diyebiliriz. Ama tırnağa sürer sürmez göze çok güzel gelmeye başlıyor. Tırnaklarıma sürerken acayip beğendim bu ojeyi. Kahverengi tonlu değilmiş bir kere. İlk katta kiraz gibi olan renk, ikinci katta vişne çürüğüne dönüşüyor. Böyle koyu renk ojeler genellikle birbirine benzediği için, ben yabancı markalardan almıyorum bu tarz renkler. Ama merak eden olursa yerel markalarla kıyaslayabilirim =)
Bu ojeyi özel yapan şeylerden biri çok çok parlak olması. Üzerinde cila olmamasına rağmen kuruduktan sonra hala ıslakmış gibi bir görünüme sahip. Burada satılan ojeler genellikle kuruduğunda o ıslak görünümü kaybediyor. Resimlerde ne kadar parlak olduğunu görebilirsiniz.
Bence harika bir kiraz rengi. Yoksa kan rengi mi demeliydim? =)
Kuruma zamanı fena değil, ancak ben yine de iyi bir koruyucu cila öneririm. Çünkü her ne kadar parlak kurusa da, bu darbe aldığında çizilmesini engellemiyor.
Bu ojeyle ilgili söyleyeceklerim bu kadar. Yabancı markalardan biraz OPI Suzi Says Da’ya benziyor sanırım, ama bunu da internette bulduğum resimlere dayanarak söylüyorum, yan yana görmeden kesin birşey söyleyemeyeceğim =/

>Review: Eyeko Nail Polishes – Vampira Polish & Vampire Nails

>Last but not least, here I have Vampira Polish by Eyeko.

Vampira Polish is a black polish with red glitter, along China Glaze Lubu Heels, Milani Garnet Gem, Piggy Polish Midnight Fireflies, RBL Black Russian, etc. I only have China Glaze Lubu Heels to compare, but I’m sure they all look pretty much the same.

Here is Vampira compared to Lubu Heels:

Both are 3 coats, but Vampira was almost opaque in one, whereas Lubu was only opaque after the third coat. Lubu Heels has a lighter base, and the red glitter is very tiny. The glitter is a little bigger in Vampira, but still very dense. The base is darker, too, and it easily gets opaque. I must say I prefer Vampira Polish, because it requires less coats.

The only problem with Vampira Polish was the brush. It had too many stray hairs, and I had to trim those hairs to make the brush usable. But I’m sure this is just my bad luck, because the other brushes of Eyeko were just fine.
Vampira Polish is perfect for those who have missed out on the polishes I’ve mentioned above, or who are looking for that extra “oomph!” in a vampy polish.

Here is the manicure I would have done for PHD‘s Vampire Challenge for last week, if I wasn’t busy with surgery and stuff. Basic vampy nails with blood splatter all over. Yum. Stamped with m21 in white, then layered with sheer red polish (Flor Mar #321).

So, that rounds up the Eyeko review. I hope you found them helpful & enjoyed the pictures =)

Son olarak, Eyeko Vampira Polish’i tanıtacağım.
Vampira Polish, içinde kırmızı simler olan siyah bir oje. Son yıllarda çıkan birçok kırmızı simli siyah ojeye benzemekle beraber, opaklığı, pürüzsüze yakın yüzeye sahip olması, simlerinin daha göze çarpan yapıda olması çok hoşuma gitti. China Glaze Lubu Heels en az üç katta opak olurken, Vampira düzgün sürülürse tek katta bile opak olabiliyor. Bu yüzden Vampira’yı tercih ederim.
Tek hoşuma gitmeyen kısmı fırçasının dağınıklığı oldu, ben de ayrık duran kılları kesmek zorunda kaldım. Ama büyük ihtimalle bu benim şanssızlığım, çünkü diğer Eyeko fırçalarında böyle bir problem yaşamadım.
Eğer koyu renk ojelerden hoşlanıyorsanız, muhteşem duran kırmızı simleriyle Vampira size göre.
Bu manikürü PHD‘nin Vampir yarışması için yaptım. Üzerine kırmızı kan sıçramış bordo tırnaklar. Bunu yapmak için, Vampira üzerine beyazla m21’deki deseni uyguladim, sonra üzerinden bir kat Flor Mar #321 ile geçtim.

>NOTD: Burlesque Nails

>These nails were done very quickly for a night out. I had to go out of the door in 30 minutes, so I didn’t bother shooting the process. I’m still thinking about how to protect my new camera from polish and acetone, and still keeping it close to my hands. In two days the term will be over and I’ll have plenty of time to film tutorials =)
These polishes are all local brand polishes, yet easily dupe-able. I used a bright red on the base, sponged black from the halfway up, and stamped the fishnet from m57 all over the nail with the same black. It doesn’t show up as well as it would have been with the black konad polish, but at least the risk of smudging is almost completely eliminated.
Then I stamped the flowers from the very same plate in silver on top. You can achieve the same look, even better, with China Glaze Millenium, because the polish I used is darker and not perfectly opaque as the Khromes.

I hope you guys enjoyed this set of nails, I really liked the result on my nubs! =)

Bu tırnaklar gece dışarı çıkmadan önce çabucak yapıldı. 30 dakika içinde yapıp çıkmam gerekiyordu, bu yüzden sünger tekniğini filme alamadım. Yeni kameramı bir yandan ellerime yakın tutarken bir yandan aseton ve oje kazalarından nasıl koruyacağımı düşünüyorum bu arada. İki gün içinde dönem bitecek ve bol bol video çekmeye vaktim olacak =)
Ojeler hep yerel markalardan ama hepsinin alternatifi kolaylıkla bulunabilir. Baz olarak Flor Mar #321 kullandım, yarısından yukarı doğru süngerle siyah oje uyguladım, sonra m57’deki file desenini siyahla damgaladım. Normal siyahlar konad ojesi kadar siyah olmasa da, en azından desenin cila sırasında bozulma riski aza inmiş oluyor.
Sonra aynı diskteki çiçekleri gümüş rengi ile damgaladım. (Flor Mar #112) China Glaze Millenium kullanırsanız daha iyi sonuç alırsınız, çünkü her ne kadar metalik ve opak olsa da bu oje China Glaze Khrome koleksiyonu kadar iyi değil.
Umarım hoşunuza gitmiştir, ben sonucu beğendim =)

>NOTD: Rubies & Butterflies

>Alright, I went a bit ahead with today’s nails =) After a few hours I was already looking for a way to spice up my monochrome mani. (I know, I know…) I layered the whole mani with a transparent red polish, which is not even opaque in 4 coats. My suggestion: if you can’t get something opaque no matter what you do, layer it over something else to make use of it! =D I don’t only mean the sheer shimmers that change the color of a darker polish, I mean tinting an existing color with a creme/jelly type polish =) Anyway, when I saw the cool effect I achieved, I immediately thought of Jeanette‘s layered konadicures, and it came to me: Of course, another image on top! So I stamped the butterflies from plate m78 in silver on thumbs and rings =)

>NOTD: Blue Velvet & Lace

>Hello everyone =) First of all, thank you everyone for the tags & awards! I’ve been lazy to update my “Tags” page… *hangs head in shame* I promise that I’ll do that soon, and thank you again for all the nice awards you honor me =)
Today’s nails were very simple in the beginning, I just applied 2 coats of dark blue shimmery polish, and a coat of China Glaze Matte Magic on top. I love the velvety look of this one. ❤

But then hours had passed and I just felt the urge to do some konad on top! I tried to stamp with konad special polish in pastel violet, but it didn’t work well with matte, so I applied a glossy top coat on top, and then stamped the lacey design from plate m79 randomly. The pastel violet looks like a light grey on top of the navy, I like it very much =)

Oh, before I forget to mention: The blue polish from yesterday stained my nails really badly, so I recommend the winner to use a trusty base coat underneath! I had smurf nails for the first time in my life! =D

>NOTD: Tone-On-Tone Purple

>Hey everyone =) Today I have a kinda tone-on-tone manicure, inspired by Gildedangel of Naive Nails. Lately she has done some beautiful tone-on-tone manicures, you gotta check out her blog!
This mani was done with a dusty dark purple base by Flormar, a local brand, which was opaque in one coat. They called this serie “Supermatte”, apperantly indicating that it will be “opaque” in one coat, because it’s definitely not matte, but glossy on its own.
Then I stamped the “bunch of star flowers” design from m05 using China Glaze Harmony, and the dragonfly image from the same plate using China Glaze Devotion, on ring fingers and thumbs:

I love dragonflies =)
