>China Glaze Mrs. Claus was the only color from the China Glaze Holiday 2010 Collection that I was really, really interested about. It’s light red and silver glitter packed in a sheer red base. I’m calling this color red, because it doesn’t have that much blue in it to call it pink.

Mrs. Claus looks very much like Zoya Astra, but it’s redder. It’s a lovely polish, and I love how it’s not only suitable for the Holiday Season, but also great for Spring and Summer! A few days ago I saw that people from the Southern Hemisphere were looking for summery Christmas manicure ideas. This one might just be the polish for you, it’s cheerful, bright and yet festive!
Here I applied three coats of Mrs. Claus, but you’re good to go with just two!

It looks much more intense in real life than it does on the pictures. Right now my room is very dim, and it glows like hot pink coals in the light coming from my screen =)
Aww my poor nails, they have no free edge at all! =/

Zavallı tırnaklarım öyle kısa ki, beyaz kısımları hiç yok şu an =/

>Hello everyone =) I’m going on vacation this week. I guess I won’t be answer your comments till next Sunday, but I will try to check my e-mail regularly, so if you have any urgent matter to discuss, please contact me via e-mail =) (See sidebar.)
I have one last manicure to show before I leave. It’s Sinful Daddy’s Girl layered over some purple polish, because Daddy’s Girl is sheer on its own.
Daddy’s Girl is a gorgeous polish, it has a dark purple base with pink & gold flecks. Think Zoya Julieanne, I think they’re really close. OK, they have nothing to do with each other! =D
Thank you, Liz, for helping me get my hands on this beauty! =D

Love!
Have a great week, everyone, and I wish an early Merry Eid to my Muslim friends =)

Herkese merhaba =) Bu hafta tatilde olacağım, bu yüzden yorumlarınıza cevap veremeyebilirim. Ama e-postamı düzenli kontrol etmeye çalışacağım, eğer acil birşey olursa e-posta yoluyla bana ulaşabilirsiniz. =)

>This manicure was inspired by ALU’s Quick Gradation Mani. Of course mine is nowhere near, but I’m glad I found a use for my too sheer neon purple polish.
I used Pastel’s neon purple, which is a LE color, over Illamasqua Muse. The purple is sheer, but not as sheer as it’s supposed to be for gradation, that’s why it built up pretty quickly.

I’m not sure I really like this manicure, but it’s interesting and fun to do.

Pastel’in yaz için çıkardığı neon ojelerden mor olanını kullandım.

>I don’t know if there’s such a famous shade in the US, but almost every girl in my country, if interested in nail polish or not, knows about this shade. It’s very, very popular and it’s the top selling polish in Turkey, I believe.
Flor Mar #319 is an off-white, sheer polish, designed to be used as a French manicure base. But it easily becomes opaque in 3 coats. It looks great with many skintones, and provides a neat, clean, freshly manicured look. We also call this color “Raki White” here. (Raki is the traditional Turkish drink. For more info, click here.)

This color is a life saver. It’s professional, it can be used if you don’t know what to put on for some occasion, it can be used as a French base. It’s one shade that should always be kept in one’s purse. =)

>My Eyeko Review continues with Eyeko Petite Polish.

Petite Polish is a sheer pink, specially made for French manicures and sheer lovers. I used two coats, and it gave my nails a nice pinkish blush. This color is perfect for neat French nails. I didn’t have a nice pink French manicure base like this one, so no comparison pictures this time. Although I didn’t try it out, I think this might be opaque in 3 or 4 coats.

I did a basic French manicure using Petite Polish and white. I used Nailene Bedazzled Super Star decals on my rings and thumbs. I love how neat and clean my nails look! I guess I should do French more often 😉

Petite Polish is really nice if you want a blushing pink as a French base, or if you are a sheer pink/nude lover. I can’t say I’m a sheer lover, but I think this polish makes the nails look chic and elegant. I must say I like this more than OPI Bubble Bath =) Although it’s not a unique polish, it’s a very nice basic =)

>This is the last manicure I’ve worn before I filed down & shaped my nails a bit. (As seen here.) The base is OPI Bubble Bath, stamped with various China Glaze Chrome and Romantique colors, such as Adore, Admire, Emotion, Harmony, 2030 and Metallic Muse and of course, image plate m76. I also added some stripes using a tiny brush and China Glaze Tinsel, because I was bored.

Finally a question:

Would you keep Orly Green With Envy if you already had China Glaze Four Leaf Clover and they looked even more similar IRL? I just got it home, and I swatched them side by side on a piece of plastic, and they look very close under various lights, even more than the picture/bottles show. I guess I’m going get another Orly instead, but I’m not sure if this counts as a “different color”. Need opinions! =D

>Since I’m not overflowing with creative juices these days, I decided to challenge myself with weekly themes. Some of these ideas are of my own and some are recreations of great ideas seen on other blogs. I won’t be doing themes every week, just when I’m planning on doing manicures that can be grouped together in a theme. Lately I was thinking about many black manicures, so the first theme is going to be “black”.
This is one of the manicures that made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It’s by Konad & Me. It’s basically a simple manicure with black tips and silver polka dots on top. I love how simple, yet edgy it looks! So I gave it a try.
I started with two coats of sheer nude polish, basically any sheer nude will do. Then I freehanded the tips using a local brand black polish. Finally I stamped the dots from m45 in silver on top.

Yesterday I gave m19 several tries, and I’m proud to say that there is progress =)

>Hey guys, I’m so happy today =) I’ve been waiting for this day for more than two months! I finally got my hands on the Up&Away collection, thanks to my friend Elizabeth, a.k.a. Lacquered Lizard. She was also very kind to get me not one but two Emerald Sparkle’s, some random polishes, and lots of candy!!!
On to the pictures then!

Tomorrow I’m going to post comparison pictures with other China Glaze’s I own, so that you have an idea =) (If you don’t have any yet! =)

Two Emerald Sparkle’s! The not so beautiful version I own is in the middle. See the difference? It’s muted, more on the teal side, and has more shimmer, which looks dull against the gorgeous glitter of the original one.
She also sent me these polishes:

Del Sol Island Fever, Sinful Colors Let’s Talk

Finger Paints Evergreen Dream & Sally Hansen Emerald City, Sally Hansen Haute Chocolate & Sally Girl Behave

Wet&Wild Craze, Ms.Manicure Mini Emery Boards, Curél Hand Lotion

Aaaand, lots of yummy stuff!!!

The M&M’s were gone within the hour =DDD I wish we had those sorts here! All we have is regular and peanut. *Sigh*
Thank you again, Elizabeth, for your patience, kindness and all the random act of kindness =))) I really appreciate everything =)
Finally this one is a marble manicure I tried today, with a sudden inspiration. I used a sheer blush as base and medium pink & white creme polishes for the marbling. Then I stamped the hearts randomly using plate m42 and special polishes in red & white. Yay, the brushes help so much with cleaning up after marbling! I recommend using a thick brush, it’s much better than using a cotton pad =)

>This is my first attempt at Valentine’s Day Mani =) It’s kinda lame, I know =D Overly girly, even for me!
I used 4 coats of a sheer white polish, which looks pink on the nails in a strange way. OO – kay. Then I used plates m59 and m56, and my frankens which can be seen here and here for the stamping. I freehanded the alternating french tips.

What do you think about my french tips? I hate using m19, it’s far worse than the other french tip plates. I never seem to get it right! Are they OK this way or do you reckon I should learn to use it? =)

>Hello everyone! Sorry for the absence, it has been such a hectic week for me… Thank God, everything will be over on the 27th. Phew! That’s the bad thing about being a last minute person =)
Anyway, today I’m going to show you the nails from the past week. First: sunshine yellow jelly polish from Clarie’s & konad m53:

This was 5 coats!!! I loved this one, but sadly it was not fully dry for a few hours, and I managed to nick it at the cuticles, which I hate. Tips can be covered, but cuticles not =(

Then I have the coral/pink pastel polish, layered with China Glaze Pure Torture. I looooove Pure Torture, so happy I got it. I can layer one coat over any red, and it turns this gorgeous, bright, saucy red I love, and can’t find anywhere!!!

A layered konad using m74. I don’t know what was going on in my mind, I was sleepless for 32 hours that day =D

Then I did a full mani with China Glaze Glam:

Glam is sooo bumpy, and runny, I like it but I wasn’t very careful with the application, so it didn’t stay very long.

Finally, my current mani, inspired by the sudden snowstorm outside. I used the magnificent purple glitter polish I recently discovered, plate m59 and my latest silver polish find:
