>NOTD: St. Patty’s Day

>Sorry guys, I didn’t have time to post this manicure yesterday. Like most of you, I couldn’t decide on a single green, so I used four. Ooops! =)
On my ring finger I have China Glaze L8R G8R, and four green heart-shaped rhinestones, forming a four leaf clover. On my thumb I have Illamasqua Rampage, with Zoya Ivanka sponged on the upper half. On the rest of the nails I have China Glaze Four Leaf Clover, with gold sequins from Viva La Nails on top, to represent Leprechaun Gold =) But beware, they disappear in a few hours! (Too much Harry Potter addled my brain, lol =)

Oh, and of course I didn’t forget about the giveaway. It’s almost ready, just give me a few more days. It’s not too much, but I really hope you like the prizes =)

Dün yani 17 Mart St. Patrick Günü olarak kutlanıyor. Bir İrlanda bayramı olan bu günde her taraf İrlanda’nın sembolü olan yoncalarla kaplanıyor, deli gibi yeşil bira içiliyor falan =) Asıl anlamı her ne ise yitirmiş bir gün, ben de bakmaya üşendim şimdi. Şu andaki anlamı yeşil giymek, bira içmek ve eğlenmek, ha bir de kendini İrlandalı gibi hissetmek. Oldum olası İrlanda ve İrlandalılar’ı çok severim, bu sevgim 1999 yılında Cranberries fanatiğiyken başlamıştı. Neyse uzun lafın kısası işte size St. Patrick Günü manikürü, bana da biraz şans getirir umarım, ihtiyacım var da…
Çoğu kişi gibi ben de hangi yeşili süreceğime karar veremedim, bu yüzden 4 tane yeşil kullandım. =) Yüzük parmağımda China Glaze L8R G8R var, üzerine 4 tane yeşil kalp kullanarak yonca yaptım. Baş parmağımda Illamasqua Rampage var, üzerine süngerle Zoya Ivanka uyguladım. Geri kalan tırnaklarımda China Glaze Four Leaf Clover var, üzerinde ise Viva La Nails’den aldığım altın rengi pullar, Ayakkabıcı Cin altınlarını temsil ediyor. Ayakkabıcı Cin (Leprechaun) de İrlanda’nın bir sembolü.
Bu arada tabi ki çekilişi unutmadım, hala hazırlık yapıyorum. Birkaç gün içinde güzel şeylerle gelmeyi umuyorum =)

>Review: OMG!!!

>I never thought this day would come. But here I am, with my complete set of OMG Collection =) How many times I kicked myself for not getting it when it was available! But isn’t it always like that? You keep saying: “I don’t know… Do I really need it?” while it’s in front of your eyes the whole time, and once it goes missing, you suddenly have to have it! All! That was my case, at least. It was so hard to track down, but finally it’s mine! I caved in and splurged to an eBay seller. A Turkish nail polish seller & a lovely friend stepped in and helped me get my hands on the whole collection. Without her, I would not be able to handle all the negotiations with the seller & the nervous wait for the post to arrive safely. The whole collection was a bit expensive, but it’s soo worth it! =))) I’m gonna be the happiest holo-loving-girl once the 4 Nfu-Oh holos arrive – my final order before the no-buy! =)

Now, on to the collection. It came out 3 years ago, or so I believe. At that time, good holographic polishes were easier to find, and not the unicorn pee they’re today. I guess it’s because of the raw material – good linear holographic polishes need expensive material, and this is what brands either avoid or just can’t find anymore. This line consists of 12 linear holos, the effect is subtle in the shadow but so in-your-face under the sun! They are subtler than the Nfu-Oh holos, but unlike them, these polishes are bold, bright colored polishes with a strong holographic effect. Plus, they’re great for konading! The holo particles are very dense, and they work excellent for stamping.
The collection is divided into two, as usual with China Glaze. First half is called 2BHOT and the second half is called 2BKEWL. Remember, when I’m calling some of these “medium-strength holos”, I mean they’re only subtle compared to the others from this collection. They’re all definitely holographic and mad rainbow-y under the sun!

2BHOT consists of 6 warm shades.

QT: Red leaning fuchsia holo, strong
TMI: Warm coral holo, medium-strength
TTYL: Peach/salmon holo, very strong
FYI: Beige holo, very strong
GR8: Gold holo, medium-strength
L8R G8R: Light green holo, very strong

2BKEWL consists of 6 cool shades.

BFF: Cool pink holo, very strong
IDK: Warm lilac holo, very strong
LOL: Purple holo, medium-strength

I’ve heard that there are two different versions of BFF around, but this one is the original BFF. The other looks very much like TTYL from the warm set. I believe there’s been a mix-up, because unlike other brands, there have been no reported “less holo duds” of this collection.

All of them together. I’m so happy that I finally completed this collection. It’s a must have for every polish lover, so grab whatever you can while they’re still around! =)

Açıkçası bugünün geleceğine pek inanmıyordum. Ama işte oldu, demek ki insan azmedince her şey oluyormuş =) Sonunda China Glaze OMG koleksiyonunu tamamlamayı başarabildim =) Ahh, hala satıştayken on kere almaktan vazgeçtim diye o kadar çok kızdım ki kendime! O zamanlar sadece krem yapıda ojeleri almaya odaklıydım, çünkü buralarda bulamıyordum. Mevzuya uyandığımda artık çok geçti, ne var ne yoksa tükenmişti. Bulmak inanılmaz zor oldu. Rio55 olmasaydı bunun altından kalkamazdım. Bu konudan detaylı bir şekilde bahsedeceğim, yazının sonunu bekleyin.
Bu koleksiyon inanılmaz kıymete bindiği için bana biraz tuzluya geldi. Ama verdiğim her kuruşa değer. Bir de 4 tane Nfu-Oh ojem var yolda, onlar da gelsin çok mutlu olacağım ve bir süre oje falan almayacağım =)
Koleksiyondan bahsedecek olursak, China Glaze 2008 yılının başında çıkarmıştı bu koleksiyonu. O zamanlar holografik oje bulmak bugünkü gibi meşakatli değildi ve kapış kapış satılmıyordu. Sanırım holografik ojenin ana malzemesi olan holografik materyal oldukça pahalı, ya artık markalar bunu karşılayamıyor, ya da onlar da bulamıyor. Bu koleksiyon ise bugün kolay kolay bulamadığımız linear holografik ojelerden oluşuyor. Gölgede bu ojeleri görseniz ikinci kez bakmazsınız belki, ama güneş altında tam bir gökkuşağına dönüşüyorlar! Nfu-Oh ojeleri gibi dehşet holografik değiller, ama onlar kadar açık renk de değiller, renkler canlı, koyu, buna rağmen holografik etki her zaman mevcut. Ayrıca konad ile muhteşem oluyorlar. Holografik parçacıkların birbirine çok yakın olması, çok başarılı konad yapılabilmesini sağlıyor.
Koleksiyon her zamanki gibi iki parça halinde. İlk kısım olan 2BHOT sıcak renkleri, ikinci kısım olan 2BKEWL soğuk renkleri içeriyor. Bu arada bu ojelerden bazılarına “orta şiddette” dedim ama, sadece koleksiyondaki diğer bazı ojelere kıyasla öyleler. Aralarında en belirsiz olanı bile güneş altında dehşet gözüküyor =)

Bu koleksiyonu sonunda tamamlayabildiğim için çok mutluyum ve buradan Rio55‘e, yani Deniz, Pınar ve Irmak kardeşlere çok teşekkür ediyorum. Bugüne kadar onlardan çok fazla oje aldım, ve nasıl onlar hakkında daha detaylı yazmadığıma çok şaşırıyorum. Sanırım en güzel ojelerimi onlar sayesinde aldığım ve o ojelere henüz kıyamadığım için, bahsetmeye fırsatım olmamış. Evet tek mantıklı açıklaması bu =)
Rio55’le bundan 6 ay kadar önce tanıştık ve ilk alışverişimden beri yurtdışından kendi çabamla oje sipariş etmiyorum. Yoksa oradaki tanıdıklarınızdan yardım istemek zorunda kalıyorsunuz ve herkes işin gücün arasında size yardım edemeyebiliyor. İşte Rio55 bu noktada devreye giriyor. >From The Vault: China Glaze GR8

>I’ve been having trouble reaching my control panel in the last two days. I’ve been trying different proxies, none of them were versatile. I’m going to keep changing till this ridiculous censorship comes to an end.
Yesterday I tried another holo from the OMG Collection, GR8. China Glaze GR8 is a gold linear holo, with shimmery gold particles inside. It’s not as smooth as the rest of the collection, and the shimmery particles somehow dull the holographic effect. It has the weakest holographic effect of the OMG’s I own, still it’s crazy holo under the sun!
Yesterday I’ve been working in Konad booth at Beauty & Care Expo 2011, I stamped people’s nails =) I stamped a couple of my own nails with flowers from m31.

İki gündür ne yaparsam yapayım kontrol paneline giremiyorum. Daha doğrusu giriyorum ama o yöntem kalıcı olmuyor. Değişik proxy adresleri kullanıyorum, hiçbiri tam olarak çözüm olmuyor, ya çok yavaşlar, ya bir süre sonra kara listeye alınıyorlar. Bu saçma sapan sansür olayı kalkana kadar proxy değiştirerek devam edeceğim herhalde…
Dün OMG koleksiyonundan başka bir holografik oje sürdüm, GR8. China Glaze GR8 altın rengi, lineer yapıda bir holografik oje, içinde altın rengi ışıltılar var. Koleksiyonun diğer renklerinden farklı olarak biraz daha metalik ve bu ışıltılı parçacıklar holografik etkiyi azaltıyor. Tabi bu gölge için geçerli. Güneşte ise inanılmaz bir görüntüsü var. Koleksiyondaki en zayıf etkili holo bu olmasına rağmen direk ışık aldığında göz alıcı bir gökkuşağı görüntüsüne sahip oluyor.
Dün Güzellik ve Bakım Fuarı 2011’de Özgürce Pazarlama standındaydım. Tırnaklarımın birkaç tanesine m31 diskindeki çiçeklerden yaptım, stand ziyaretçilerine göstermek için.
O kadar çok konad yaptım ki, parmağımın bir tanesi su topladı =) Özellikle m36 diskindeki ikili kelebek çok fazla talep gördü. Tırnağında iki renkli kelebekle dolaşan kişiler gizli bir tarikat olmakla suçlanabilir yani şu an, tabi silmedilerse =) Ama halimden memnunum, stres attım, kafam dağıldı biraz. Bu arada Tanaçan Kozmetik bir sürü China Glaze oje getirmiş, size birkaç renk göstereceğim. Essie 2011 İlkbahar Koleksiyonu’nun da dört rengini tanıtacağım.
Bu yazı biraz kısa oldu ama, hazır girebilmişken yazayım dedim o yüzden…
Bu arada bu muhteşem ojeyi Gitti Gidiyor’daki Rio55 kullanıcısından aldım. Rio55 kardeşler benim en güvendiğim satıcı. Bu tükenmiş koleksiyonu bile allem edip kallem edip benim için buldular, getirdiler… Kendilerine binlerce kez teşekkür ediyorum =)

>NOTD: Purple Polka Dots & Purple Holo

>Here is the manicure of the day, and also a manicure from a few days back. Today I’m supporting the manicure I saw in my dream last night. Inspiration seems to come in the most unexpected ways, LOL =D
For this manicure I used Flor Mar Supermatte m120, a dark purple creme; and China Glaze Light As Air, a very pale lilac. The stamping is also done with those two polishes, and plate m79.

I’m seriously lacking a purple holographic polish, and I decided to franken myself one. I’ve been tracking down the whole OMG Collection, and this should do till I get my hands on LOL and maybe another true purple holo in the future.
For this franken, I mixed blue and pink holographic polishes, then I darkened with some dark purple jelly. Although the holographic effect was somehow scattered, it’s definitely there and this is the best I can do with the limited holo supplies I have =)

The light has to be strong in these holographic polish pictures, because it’s very hard to catch the effect indoors, and I have to hold the light source in such an angle that creates shadows and makes the skin look yellow. I will definitely swatch these again when the sun will shine and days are longer! =)

Hem bugünün manikürünü, hem de birkaç gün öncesinden bir manikürü göstereceğim bugün size. Bugün tırnaklarımda dün gece rüyamda gördüğüm bir manikür var. (Evet bazen rüyama giriyorlar.) İlham ne kadar komik yerlerden geliyor, değil mi? =)
Burada kullandığım ojeler Flor Mar Supermatte m120, yani koyu mor; ve China Glaze Light As Air, soluk lila. Konad da bu iki oje ve m79 diskini kullanarak yapıldı.
Bu arada ciddi bir şekilde mor holografik oje eksikliği çekiyordum, böylece kendim karıştırmaya karar verdim. OMG koleksiyonunu tamamlamaya çalışıyorum, LOL ya da başka bir mor holografik oje elime geçene kadar bu beni idare eder sanırım.
Bu oje için mavi ve pembe holografik ojeler karıştırdım, koyulaştırmak için ise koyu mor jelimsi bir oje ekledim. Holografik etki doğal olarak biraz dağıldı ama sonuç olarak hala var ve elimdeki sınırlı kaynaklarla ancak bu kadar oluyor =)
Holografik ojeleri çektiğim resimlerde ışık çok güçlü olmak zorunda, çünkü bu etkiyi evin içinde makinayla yakalamak çok zor, bilen bilir. Işığın açısını ojenin kırabilmesi için eğik ayarlıyorum ve bu da ellerimi sarı gösteriyor. Şu güneş güzel yüzünü göstersin, günler uzasın, o zaman bu ojelerin resimlerini güneş altında çekeceğim =)

Anyway, here is today’s holographic beauty. China Glaze DV8 is the only polish from the amazing OMG Collection that I own. It’s the perfect turquoise holo, I just want to dive into its depths, it’s so refreshing and totally made of awesome.

I’m going to splurge and complete the China Glaze OMG and Kaleidoscope Collections. Someday my friend. Someday.

>NOTD: Champagne Holo

>Hello everyone =) Sorry for the lack of posts, I hope everyone had a splendid time at New Year’s Eve =) Mine was alright, I didn’t support any special manicure, my pinky nail was broken and I was demotivated.

Today I’m wearing Catherine Arley #669. It’s a greyed out champagne with a pale gold flash. The holographic effect is definitely there, but it was a bit harder to capture with my camera, trying to hide my pinky at the same time =)

My cuticles are a bit ruined because of the cold and acetone-free remover. I’m giving them Lemony Flutter bath 2 times a day =D

Herkese merhaba =) Bu aralar biraz az yazıyorum, üzgünüm bunun için. Umarım hepinizin yılbaşı çok eğlenceli geçmiştir! Benimkisi güzeldi, özel bir manikür yapamadım çünkü serçe parmağımın tırnağı kırılmıştı ve bütün motivasyonum gitti.
Bugün ise tırnağımda Catherine Arley #669 var. Griye çalan bir şampanya rengi olduğunu söyleyebilirim, soluk altın rengi flaşa sahip. Holografik etki bir önceki #676 kadar olmasa da gayet güçlü, sadece serçe parmağımı saklamaya çalışırken yakalamakta biraz zorlandım =)
Tırnak diplerim de soğuktan ve asetonsuz oje çıkarıcıdan mahvoldu. Günde 2 kez Lemony Flutter banyosu yaptırıyorum, anca kendine gelecek herhalde =D

Guys, I’m very excited to show you these polishes made of awesome! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I first saw this post by Betul’s Dreams, holographic polishes by a Turkish brand that look almost like China Glaze Kaleidoscope polishes! I immediately wanted to know where I can get them, and exactly how many holo polishes from Catherine Arley were in existence. I found a Turkish seller that sold CA polishes, and I asked her if she carried any holographic polishes from that line. She told me they were 20 holographic polishes from Catherine Arley in total, so I ordered the whole line! =) I got them for about $1.30 each. Today I received the lot, and I’m beyond myself with excitement, finally holographic polishes with a holo effect so strong that my camera can capture!
The polishes are 0.5 fl. oz. (14 ml), and they’re hypoallergenic and Big 3 Free.
This is going to be a very long post with loads of pictures, but you’re free to TL;DR =)
NOTE: Before going on with the bottle pics & swatches, I have to tell you guys that I would really love to help my international friends to get their hands on these polishes, but unfortunately, Turkish Post no longer accepts any sort of liquid cosmetics, including nail polish. We can receive polishes, but we can’t send them abroad; because they say there is risk of breakage and leakage. That’s the reason I can’t answer to any swap or help request, because I’m unable to do so. I hope you understand =)

First of all, here are the bottle pictures, with my trying-to-be-accurate descriptions =)

• #673: Dark reddish purple with a subtle holo effect.
• #672: Mauve with a fuchsia flash, subtle holo effect.
• #677: Cranberry red with a very subtle holo effect. This one disappointed me a bit, but it’s still holo, definitely not plain. Maybe it will come alive under the sun.
• #800: Strawberry red with a strong holo effect. This is one of my favorites. Although I own some holographic polishes, there is nothing like this in my stash.

• #666: Cool dark pink with a moderate holo effect.
• #670: Pale cool pink with a strong holo effect.
• #804: Warm pink with a cool pink flash, moderate holo effect.
• #675: Warm pink with a strong holo effect.

• #669: Golden beige with a strong holo effect.
• #668: Tan with a subtle holo effect.
• #806: Orange with a subtle holo effect. This one has a bad consistency, I hope I can tame it. It has got some metallic mixed inside, which dulls the holo effect a bit.
• #802: Amber with a strong holo effect. Adorable. Just amazing. Another favorite.

• #674: Baby blue with a strong holo effect. This one is amazing! =)
• #803: Chartreuse with a strong holo effect. I love this, I own nothing like this either.
• #801: Bright lime green with a moderate holo effect. The holo is actually strong in this one, but the color is so bright, it hardly shows.
• #807: Gold with no holo effect. This one is disastrous. It’s gold metallic with holo pieces thrown inside, which never show. The consistency is horrible, too. No need to say, my least favorite =)

• #805: Black with moderate holo effect. Oh my God, somebody hold me. Maybe not crazy holographic, but it’s definitely there. Another favorite =)
• #667: Charcoal grey with strong holo effect.
• #676: Silver with strong holo effect. Or should I say “crazy”? This is what I have on my nails right now.
• #671: Last but not least, taupe-leaning silver with a blue flash, strong holo effect. Interesting polish, I really like it.

I know you want to see some swatches, so I swatched everything on a nail wheel. All two coats, they cover very well. Please excuse the messy swatching =) In numerical order:

Doesn’t it look like wrapping paper? Or rainbows and butterflies? Can you hear the angels sing like I do? Excuse my excitement, I just can’t get over the fact that I have some freaking true holographic polishes! =D Now I just need the Tronica Collection, and that’s all! =P

Bugün sizlere bu ojeleri gösterebildiğim için çok mutluyum. Sanırım hayallerim gerçek oldu. Betül’ün blogunda gördüğümde gözlerime inanamadım, Catherine Arley holografik ojeler neredeyse China Glaze Kaleidoscope koleksiyonu ojeleri kadar harika gözüküyordu! Ben de bu ojeleri nerede bulabileceğimi, toplam kaç tane olduklarını ve ne gibi renkler olduğunu araştırmaya başladım, ve tamı tamına 20 holografik oje olduğunu gördüm. Tanesi 2 TL, ben de hepsini satın aldım. Kargo bugün elime geçti ve inanılmaz mutlu oldum, çünkü Booty ojelerden farklı olarak holografik etki çok daha kuvvetli, kameralarım hiç zorlanmadan yakalıyor, hele bir de tırnağınızda görseniz, mükemmel =)
Ojeler 14 ml, hipoalerjenik ve Formaldehit, Toluen, Dibutil Pitalen içermiyor.
Biraz uzun bir yazı olacak, kusura bakmayın.
NOT: Yurt dışında yaşayan arkadaşlarım, sizlere bazen beğendiğiniz ojeleri gönderme konusunda yardım etmeyi çok istiyorum. Eskiden bunu yapabiliyordum ama son zamanlarda PTT kargoya kesinlikle oje kabul etmemeye başladı. Ben de bu yüzden bu konuda yardımcı olamıyorum, bu yüzden şimdiden özür dilerim.

Mor ve Kırmızılar:

• #673: Mürdüm rengi, holo etkisi az.
• #672: Gül kurusu, pembe flaş etkisi var. Holo etkisi orta karar.
• #677: Koyu kırmızı, holo etkisi oldukça az, ama yok değil. Güneş altında daha belirgin olacağına inanıyorum.
• #800: Çilek kırmızısı, holo etkisi güçlü. Favorilerimden biri.

Pembeler:

• #666: Soğuk tonlu koyu pembe, holo etkisi orta karar.
• #670: Solgun pembe, holo etkisi güçlü.
• #804: Sıcak pembe, pembe flaş etkisi var. Holo etkisi orta karar.
• #675: Sıcak pembe, holo etkisi güçlü.

Turuncular:

• #669: Altın rengine çalan bej, holo etkisi güçlü.
• #668: Bu renge ne denir, koyu ten rengi mi? Holo etkisi az.
• #806: Turuncu, holo etkisi az. Bu ojenin yapısı çok akışkan, aynı zamanda yoğun. Umarım adam edebilirim. Sanırım biraz metalik etki var içinde, bu da holo görüntüsünü biraz azaltıyor.
• #802: Taba rengi. Hasta oldum buna. Favorilerimden.

Mavi ve Yeşiller:

• #674: Bebek mavisi, holo etkisi güçlü. Şahane gözüküyor =)
• #803: Sarıya bakan koyu yeşil, holo etkisi güçlü. Buna da bayıldım.
• #801: Parlak lim yeşili, holo etkisi orta karar. Aslında güçlü ama renk o kadar parlak ki, fazla anlaşılmıyor.
• #807: Altın rengi, holo etkisi yok. Bu oje tam bir hayal kırıklığıydı. Altın rengi metalik, içinde holo parçacıklar var eminim ama hiçbir etkisi yok ojeye. Kıvamından hiç bahsetmeyeyim. Tek beklentimi karşılamayan oje buydu =)

Griler:

• #805: Siyah, holo etkisi orta karar. Aman Allahım, çok çok güzel. Çok istiyordum siyah holografi oje. Belki etki çok güçlü değil, ama kesinlikle belli oluyor, bu yüzden favorilerimden =)
• #667: Kurşuni gri, holo etkisi güçlü.
• #676: Gümüş rengi, holo etkisi güçlü. Yoksa holo etkisi deli gibi mi demeliydim? Tırnağımda bu var şu anda.
• #671: Son olarak, bej rengine çalan gümüş, mavi flaş etkisine sahip, holo etkisi güçlü. Çok ilginç bir oje, ben çok beğendim.

Tüm ojeleri tırnak çemberine sürdüm, hepsi iki kat, numara sırasına göre gidiyor. Son olarak tırnaklarımda #676 gümüş rengini görebilirsiniz, altında baz yok, üstünde cila da yok, iki kat sürdüm. Janjanlı paket kağıtlarına benziyor, değil mi? =)

>NOTD: Pink Holographic

Note: I want to paint my nails mostly pink this month, since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Yesterday I met my friend, ojedelisi (tr. polish freak) and we had a nice time together. She gifted me this gem of a polish, which really made me happy. Elanor is a Turkish brand, but it’s really hard to find. No idea where those polishes are sold, actually. My friend was contacted by the manufacturer and she received the Elanor polishes for review reasons. But it’s still a mystery where they normally retail.
Elanor #311 is a warm pink holographic. I don’t own many holos, but I still think they’re awesome. The holo in this one is scattered, but the effect is still there. This is more of a subtle holo than a Wham! Pow! Into your face! holo. It was opaque in 2 coats but I did 3.

I really like this polish, it’s very ladylike with extra holo goodness.

Dün ojedelisi ile buluştuk. Güzel zaman geçirdik, bol bol da sohbet ettik =) Bana bu Elanor ojeyi hediye etti. Elanor gerçekten garip bir marka. Çok güzel ojeleri var ama nerede satıldığı belli değil. Keşke bu işler biraz daha ciddi yapılsa, neyi nereden alacağımızı, tam olarak hangi renkler olduğunu, hangi renklerin yeni çıktığını, oje içeriklerini falan bilebilsek. Neyse.
Elanor #311 sıcak tonda, açık pembe, holografik bir oje. Çok fazla holo ojem olmasa da, aslında holo ojeleri çok seviyorum. Bu ojedeki holografik simler biraz dağınık yapıda, ama holografik etki kesinlikle mevcut. 2 katta opak oldu ama ben 3 kat sürdüm.
Bu ojeyi çok beğendim, hem çok zarif duruyor hem de holografik olması onu farklı kılıyor.

What do you think about my new Turkish summary system? There’s a link at the bottom of every post, and it shows/hides the Turkish summary, but this only works on the main page. On individual posts or on Google reader, you will see both English and Turkish. Does it look neat or too crowdy?

A while ago I received six NOX Twilight polishes. To be honest, I never heard of the brand before, they are from a Twilight inspired cosmetic brand, Twilight Beauty. Check out their website, it looks like they’ve put a lot of effort into packaging. Seriously, the packaging is great. I could endlessly rave about the beauty of the bottles. They’re heavy, sturdy bottles, with Cullen Family Crest on the front and the label on the back. The brush handle is long and the brushes are great. When you hold the bottle in your hands, it feels expensive, like a collectible item. Bottle might not be important for some, but to me, if the bottle is beautiful, it makes me want to buy a certain brand.
The polishes are 0.58 fl.oz, equal to 17 ml. I love that they contain so much product! Also, as far as I read from the tiny label under the bottle, they are Big 3 Free.
The polish I have for you today is Disco Darling.

Disco Darling is tiny, holographic glitter sitting in clear polish. Imagine China Glaze Tinsel, but holographic. The glitter is so tiny and dense, that it becomes opaque in two coats. I used three coats here, out of habit. The polish is very sparkly, even in low lights. The holo is not very loud, but it’s definitely there. It dries a bit rough, but a good topcoat takes care of that.
You could apply this polish as a full manicure, or use it for layering, to bling out a dark polish. I’m going to try this over black, too. But I love the fact that it becomes opaque in two coats.

The application was great, the polish is a bit on the runny side, but very manageable. The brush was very easy to handle. The drying time was pretty decent. I’m very fond of this polish, and this was the one I was least excited about!

This polish is great for those who love holographic polishes, glitter and bling! =)

Bir süre önce Twilight Beauty bana altı tane NOX Twilight ojesi gönderdi. Sayfasına bakarsanız, ambalaj konusunda kendilerini aştıklarını görebilirsiniz. Özellikle oje şişelerine bayıldım. Adeta koleksiyon objesi gibiler, önlerinde Cullen aile arması, arkalarında da etiket var. Fırça sapı kolay kavranıyor ve böylece rahat sürülüyor. Bazıları için ambalaj hiç önemli olmayabilir, ama bence ambalajın güzelliği bir markadan ürün alırken insanın aklını çelen önemli bir etken.
Ojeler 17 ml, oldukça fazla yani. Ve anladığım kadarıyla Formaldehit, Toluen ve DBP içermiyorlar.
Bugün göstereceğim ojenin adı Disco Darling.
Disco Darling, şeffaf ojenin içinde yoğun miktarda holografik simden oluşuyor. Sim çok çok yoğun olduğu için iki katta opak oluyor. Her türlü ışıkta son derece ışıltılı ve holografik olduğu anlaşılıyor. Kuruduğunda biraz pürüzlü olsa da, cilayla kolayca hallediliyor.
Bu ojeyi başka bir ojenin üzerine sim gibi de sürebilirsiniz. Ben siyah üzerine denemeyi düşünüyorum.
Sürümü çok kolay, biraz akışkan bir oje olsa da kolay idare ediliyor. Fırçası da gayet güzel. Ayrıca çabuk kuruyor. Bana gelen ojeler arasında en az bu ilgimi çekti, gerisini siz düşünün =)

>NOTD: Atlantis Layered

>Happy Earth Day, everyone =) I went with the sea theme today, because it’s also the meaning of my name =) I layered 2 coats of China Glaze Atlantis over a dark navy polish. Atlantis is such a pretty polish, and it’s my favorite from the 50 China Glaze speciality polishes =) Over navy, it looks wonderful, normally subtle with holographic glitter particles here and there, but really coming alive under strong light.

I might stamp on them later on, with plate m27, which is sea themed =D
