>NOTD: Want Some Kawaii? ^-^

>Hello everyone =) Today I’m wearing a set of cute skittles; with hearts, stripes and cupcakes. =) The cupcake design was inspired by Simply Rins. If you ladies don’t know Rina, please check out her blog, rina-alcantara.com. I believe her blog is being overlooked; she does amazingly beautiful designs, she is very talented and has beautiful nails! In my opinion, she deserves ten times the followers! =)
Anyway, here is today’s Kawaii manicure! ^-^

I used Woo #666 as base of my ring finger, then painted the bottom of the cupcake with China Glaze Mom’s Chiffon, did the stripes with my pale pink franken, used white polish for icing and used pink & turquoise beads for the sprinkles. The other nails were painted with Mom’s Chiffon and pale pink franken, alternatingly.

Herkese merhaba =) Bugün sevimli bir manikür ile karşınızdayım. Cupcake deseni, Simply Rins blogundan esinlenildi. Rina’nın o kadar harika bir blogu var ki, bence çok daha fazla takipçisi olması lazım. Çok değişik ve göze hoş gelen desenler yapıyor, yetenekli ve tırnakları da çok güzel =) Gidip bakın derim!
Yüzük parmağımda önce Woo #666 kullandım, sonra cupcake için pembe bir taban yaptım China Glaze Mom’s Chiffon ile. Bu arada Mom’s Chiffon için iyi bir alternatif Flor Mar Supermatte M117, haberiniz olsun. Sonra küçük çizgiler yaptım kendi yaptığım açık pembe oje ile, kreması için beyaz oje kullandım ve son olarak Feryal Bijuteri’den gelen pembe ve turkuaz boncuklardan koydum kremanın üzerine. Diğer tırnaklar da açık pembe oje ve Mom’s Chiffon ile boyandı.
Annem başparmağımdaki boncukların bir pembe – bir mavi diye gittiğini görünce delirdiğime iyice inandı =) Ama inanın bana, yapmak o kadar da uzun sürmüyor gözünüz korkmasın! 10’ar dakikada yaptım ben yüzük ve baş parmaklarımı. =)

>NOTD: China Glaze Pink Underground

>China Glaze Pink Underground is a blue leaning medium pink with a fuchsia flash. I would describe this color as Persian Pink. It’s a perfectly girly, Barbie pink. I don’t care much about this color on myself, but I’m wearing it for the sake of BCA month =)

I couldn’t truly capture the flash with my camera, but it’s somehow visible in the bottle.
I feel a bit uninspired because of the pink overload. I will try to come back with some fun designs =)

China Glaze Pink Underground, maviye dönük bir pembe. Tam bir Barbie pembesi denilebilir bu renk için =) Son derece kızsal bir renk olduğu söylenebilir. Ben bunu kendime pek yakıştıramıyorum ama pembe olduğu için sürdüm =)
Kamera rengin içindeki flaşı fazla yakalayamadı ama şişede biraz belli oluyor.
Sanırım sürekli pembe sürmekten biraz sılıldım, ama daha eğlenceli ve güzel manikürlerle dönmeye çalışacağım =)

>NOTD: Bubblegum

>Hello everyone =) Thank you for your wonderful comments yesterday! Since some of you asked for a tutorial, I put together a very very quick one. Because I did this with my left hand and used a large brush, the roses came out wonky. But I used this technique on mom today, and the roses came out pretty realistic. If you use a thin brush, and follow the petal layout, working from inside out; you will get a pretty realistic looking rose. For an even more realistic look, you can use more than two colors; like one dark for shadows, one mid-tone color and one light color for the highlights.

Today, I did a very quick manicure using various pinks over white (Alix Avien #60). The pinks are China Glaze Sugar High, Heli-Yum, Pool Party, Flip-Flop Fantasy and a pale pink franken of mine. I used the back of a brush as my dotting tool. The resulting look reminds me of bubblegums!

Herkese merhaba =) Dün gül desenini nasıl yaptığımı soran birkaç kişi oldu, ben de minik bir tutorial hazırladım. Bu tutorial’daki gül desenini sol elimle yaptığım ve biraz da kalın bir fırça kullandığım için garip gözüküyor, ama bugün bu tekniği ince bir fırçayla annemde uyguladım ve sonuçta güller gerçekten güzel ve gerçekçi oldu. Yapmanız gereken tek şey, gösterdiğim şekilde, içten dışa doğru yaprak dizilimini taklit etmek. Hatta iki yerine gölge, orta ton ve ışık için olmak üzere üç renk kullanırsanız, daha iyi bir sonuç elde edersiniz.

Bugün çok hızlı ve pratik bir manikür yaptım. Alix Avien #60 beyaz üzerine çeşitli China Glaze pembeleri ve bir fırçanın arkasını kullanarak benekler yaptım. Ojeler Sugar High, Heli-Yum, Pool Party, Flip-Flop Fantasy ve kendi yaptığım açık pembe oje. Bana top şeklindeki, makinelerden 25 kuruşa alınan sakızları hatırlatıyorlar =) Şeker koması mı koysaydım adını acaba =)))

>NOTD: Mint and Roses & 200th Post!

>Hello everyone! This is my 200th post =) I thought this special post deserved a special manicure, so I took my time.
When I first saw this manicure at Nails by Rachel Blog, I went kinda crazy because they looked soo awesome to me! I’ve wanted to make my own version ever since. I was unsure how to paint roses that look realistic from a distance, but thank God, my boyfriend is an artist =) He taught me how to paint a realistic looking little rose and together we practiced a bit. Of course these roses are pretty amateur and I couldn’t do them as nicely as he showed me, plus the topcoat blended everything together, but I think they suffice for now =)

Here is everything I used.
From Left to Right: Essie Mint Candy Apple for the ring finger. Essie Pretty Edgy and Orly Enchanted Forest for the leaves. China Glaze Sugar High and China Glaze Heli-Yum for the roses. And finally, Rimmel London Rose Libertine for the base of all other nails. And round pink glitter for the… well, glitter =)

I did a reverse moon on my thumb. I think it looks interesting! =) I wish I used another base color for my thumb, though, because the rose is not as visible as I hoped.

Herkese merhaba =) Bu benim 200. yazım, bu yüzden özel bir manikür yapayım dedim.
Bu manikürü Nails by Rachel blogunda ilk gördüğümde resmen ağzım açık kaldı, çok çok beğendim. Tam benim tarzım olduğunu düşündüm ve o günden beri de yapmak istiyordum. Ancak belli bir mesafeden bakılığında gerçekçi görünmeleri için gülleri nasıl yapmam gerektiğini bilmiyordum. Neyse ki çok şanslıyım, çünkü erkek arkadaşım ressam =) Bana, küçük ama gerçekçi bir gülün nasıl yapılması gerektiğini gösterdi ve birlikte biraz çalıştık. Tabi benim güllerim biraz amatör ve onun bana gösterdiği kadar güzel yapamadım, ve cila da detayları biraz birbirine karıştırdı, ama bence sonuç kötü olmadı. =)

>Today’s mani was inspired by this one. She has done a lovely combination with nude, pink and salmon. I made my own version, using Golden Rose Paris #32 (index), Golden Rose Care & Strong #182 (thumb & pinky), Essie Van D’Go (ring) and China Glaze Spellbound (middle). I used the same colors on my right hand, too, only in different order. Left thumbnail was stamped in white using the ribbon design from m59. Left ring and right middle nails were stamped in white using the polka dot design from bm19.

Not exactly “all pink”. There is silver and orange and lilac and peach, but the cremes all lean towards pink (Van D’Go is actually pink in the bottle, only turns peach after applying topcoat) and I think that they look nice together.

Bugünün manikürü için buradan esinlendim. Benim versiyonumda, soldan sağa Golden Rose Care & Strong #182, Essie Van D’Go, China Glaze Spellbound ve Golden Rose Paris #32 var. Başparmağımdaki desen m59 diskinden, yüzük parmağımdaki ise bm19 diskinden. Sağ elimde de aynı renkleri sırayı değiştirerek kullandım.
Renklerin hiçbiri tam olarak pembe olmasa bile, hepsi pembeye dönük renkler. Mesela lila aslında pembeye dönük, Van D’Go ise zaten şişede pembe iken, cila sürünce şeftali rengine dönüşüyor. Bence birarada güzel duruyorlar =)

>NOTD: Pool Party in October

>As you can see, my camera is freaking out at how bright this color is. It looks different on the nail than it looks in the bottle, but that’s because my camera fails to capture the neon effectively.
China Glaze Pool Party is from their Summer 2010 Poolside collection. It’s a red leaning neon pink, opaque in three coats and it’s very, very bright. Indoors it looks like another reddish coral, but outdoors… My nails were on fire.

I stamped using the flourish pattern from BM04 and special polish in white.
Today I got Bad Fairy from the MAC store. It’s crazy, the collection is not out till tomorrow and I was only able to get it because I was lucky. But everything is already marked as “sold out”, especially Maleficient stuff.
I also got my 4th jar of Lemony Flutter today. I went through 3 jars in about 6 months. Mom thinks I’m secretly eating that stuff.
Bad Fairy is gorgeous! I can’t wait to swatch it! =)

Gördüğünüz gibi, kameram neon pembenin aşırı parlaklığı karşısında kafayı yemiş durumda. Tırnakta şişedekinden farklıymış gibi gözüküyor, ama alakası yok. Neon renkler, farklı yoğunluklarda ışığı faklı yansıttıkları için kamerada bu şekilde gözüküyor.
China Glaze Pool Party, 2010 Yaz koleksiyonundan. Kırmızıya çalan bir neon pembe, 3 katta opak oluyor ve çok çok parlak bir renk. Evin içinde parlak bir mercan rengi gibi duruyor, ama sokağa çıkar çıkmaz… Bu kapalı havada bile gözü alıyor, sanki ateş gibi.
Üzerine beyaz konad ojesi ve BM04 diskini kullanarak desen yaptım.
Bu arada bugün MAC’ten Bad Fairy isimli ojeyi aldım. Aslında koleksiyon yarın satışa çıkıyor ama ben biraz şanslıydım sanırım. Elinizi çabuk tutun, herşey bu akşamdan tükenmeye başlamış, millet deliler gibi ayırtıyor ürünleri. Bir mağazaya gitmeden önce mutlaka telefon edip ayırtın alacağınız şeyi, boşu boşuna gezmeyin derim. Özellikle Maleficient ürünleri şimdiden neredeyse bitmiş durumda.
Bu arada 6 ayda 3 kavanoz Lemony Flutter bitirdim ve bugün dördüncüyü aldım. Annem gizli gizli LF yediğimi düşünüyor sanırım =)
Bad Fairy inanılmaz güzel, göstermek için sabırsızlanıyorum =)

For this look, I used Alix Avien #167 as base color. It’s a black jelly with fine silver glitter. Then I used the polishes from left to right in that order for sponging & layering:

I sponged China Glaze DV8, Orly Space Cadet and Zoya Adina on top of each other, finally layering everything with Flor Mar #003 and a bit of China Glaze Snow Globe.

I think they look pretty awesome! You can even see some pink, definitely no too far off from the theme =) Thank you, Asami, for your wonderful ideas! I love watching your nail tutorials! =)))

(Süngerleme tekniğinin kağıt havlu ile yapılan halini düşünün.) Son olarak da bir kat Flor Mar #003 sim ve China Glaze Snow Globe sim sürdüm. Bence gerçekten galaksileri andırıyorlar. Hatta bu ayın teması olan pembe bile gayet belirgin bence =)

>NOTD: China Glaze Flip-Flop Fantasy (Shield Your Eyes!)

>The third pink polish I’m going to show you this month is a retina-searingly bright, coral-pink polish, namely China Glaze Flip-Flop Fantasy from the Poolside Collection. This polish is so bright, it’s ridiculous. Do yourself a favor, apply this polish and find yourself a UV-Lamp. Your nails will look so cool. I think neon polishes are a great way to cheer yourself up when you’re feeling down, any time of the year.
I’ve applied 3 coats on my newly chopped-down nails. (I’m growing them out, but I had two breaks on my right hand and I decided to shorten them a bit.) This polish dries to a matte finish, because of the neon pigment it contains. But of course, a nice topcoat takes care of it.

This picture does no justice to how awesome this polish looks under the blacklight. It looks radioactive in real life. I’m so glad I caved and got 3 polishes from the Poolside Collection! =D

Size bu ay göstereceğim üçüncü pembe oje, insanın gözünü kamaştıran parlaklıkta, mercan rengi-pembe arası bir neon, yani Poolside koleksiyonundan China Glaze Flip-Flop Fantasy. Aşırı derecede parlak bir renk. Özellikle UV ışık altında bu ojeye bir bakmanızı şiddetle tavsiye ederim. Neon ojelere bayılıyorum, yılın hangi dönemi olursa olsun sürmek lazım, insanı bir anda canlandırıp neşelendiriyorlar.
Üç kat sürdüm ve mat olarak kurudu. İçinde neon pigment bulunan ojelerin özelliği mat olarak kuruması. Ama parlak bir görünüm istiyorsanız, üzerine cila sürmeniz yeterli.
Resimde morötesi ışık altında ne kadar muhteşem gözüktüğü tam anlaşılmıyor. Gerçekte çok, çok daha parlak, radyoaktif hatta =D İyi ki sonunda pes edip bu koleksiyondan üç oje ısmarlamışım =D

>NOTD: YSL Rock et Baroque Manicure

>Hi everyone =) You’ve probably seen the new “Rock et Baroque” collection YSL has come up with. There are four sets, and each set consists of two polishes. The colors in a set are meant to be used as French manicure base and tip colors, to create a funky, yet chic French manicure. The sets are going like this:
Rive Gauche: Red and Fuchsia.
Belle de Nuit: Purple and Gold.
Belle de Jour: Indigo and Turquoise
Classic French: You probably know that by now.
You can even alternate the tip and base color on every finger, to make your manicure more personal.

Although the idea is far from being revolutionary, the way all the colors look together really gave me some inspiration this time. I decided to replicate this manicure with the colors I already own.

Left hand:

Pinky: Flor Mar #319 as base color, white creme for the tips.
Ring: China Glaze Flyin’ High as base color, Alix Avien #163 for the tips.
Midle: Flor Mar Supermatte M120 as base color, China Glaze 2030 for the tips.
Index: Burnt orange franken as base color, China Glaze Designer Satin for the tips.

Right hand:

Pinky: China Glaze 2030 as base color, Flor Mar Supermatte M120 for the tips.
Ring: China Glaze Designer Satin as base color, burnt orange franken for the tips.
Midle: Flor Mar #319 as base color, white creme for the tips.
Index: Alix Avien #163 as base color, China Glaze Flyin’ High for the tips.
Thumbs are purple and gold, too, but alternating.
I really like the result. It’s no secret that I love a funky French =)

Herkese merhaba =) YSL’nin yeni çıkardığı “Rock et Baroque” koleksiyonunu gördünüz mü bilmiyorum. Bu koleksiyonda dört tane ikili oje seti var. Bu iki ojeden biri baz olarak, diğeri ise tırnağın ucuna sürerek kullanılmak için tasarlanmış. Tabi renkleri istediğiniz gibi kombine edebiliyorsunuz. Kişiye özel kombinasyonlar oluşturmak bu koleksiyonun ana fikri anladığım kadarıyla.
Fikir çok da devrim niteliğinde olmasa da, kullanılan renkler bana ilham verdi. Ben de halihazırda elimde bulunan renklerle bu manikürün aynısını yapmaya karar verdim.

>NOTD: Gilded Butterflies

>Here is my entry for this week’s challenge by Polish Hoarder Disorder. The nails have to be greyscale, only to be accented by the color of our choice.
For this manicure I first applied China Glaze Recycle as base color, then I stamped the flowers from m24 in my dark gray franken, and the flowers from m11 in my light grey franken. For those frankens, I started with two bottles, one white and one black creme. I poured from one bottle into the other, then the other way round, and shook both well, until I achieved a bottle of light grey and a bottle of dark grey. It was very easy and fun =)
Finally I stamped the buttlerfly image from m1 in mint green, and filled in using Zoya Ivanka. I wish I did a better job filling in, but anyway. Oh, and underneath Ivanka I first tried using a mint green shimmer, which looked kinda weird. That polish is very cloudy and looked dirty. But the shimmer is pretty strong, that’s where the neon blue-green glow around the butterflies comes from.

The title was inspired by William Shakespeare’s famous quote: “We will all laugh at gilded butterflies.”

Polish Hoarder Disorder‘ın bu haftaki yarışması için yaptığım manikürle karşınızdayım. Yarışmanın kuralına göre tırnaklar gri tonlarda, sadece tek bir farklı renkle süslenmiş olacaktı. Ben de baz olarak China Glaze Recycle kullandım. Üzerine m24’teki çiçekleri kendi yaptığım koyu gri oje ile, m11’deki çiçekleri ise kendi yaptığım açık gri oje ile damgaladım. Koyu gri ve açık gri oje elde etmek istiyorsanız, biri siyah, biri beyaz olmak üzere iki şişe oje alın. Sonra bunları yavaşça birbirine dökmeye başlayın. Bunu yaparken iki şişeyi de ara sıra çalkalayın. Bir süre sonra siyah açılacak ve beyaz koyulaşacak. İstediğiniz tonları elde ettiğiniz zaman durun. Çok kolay ve eğlenceli bir yöntem. =)
Son olarak m1’deki kelebek desenini açık yeşil ile damgaladım, ve içini Zoya Ivanka ile boyadım. Ivanka’nın altına önce sedefli bir turkuaz sürmüştüm, fakat güzel olmadı. Kelebeklerin bazılarının kenarlarındaki tuhaf mavimsi ışıltı o ilk sürdüğüm oje yüzünden.
